AURORA, Ohio – 2017

The Dalton Family Foundation, under the leadership of A. Ray Dalton, is pleased to announce the launch of an innovative new tool that’s improving outcomes for those seeking assistance with addiction recovery and reentry. Mr. Dalton stated “One of the most common problems for those seeking help in addiction and reentry is not lack of capacity of service providers, but lack of real-time information about those service providers.” The project, relink.org, will be the nation’s first user-friendly, up-to-date, searchable site connecting those in need to the right services at the right time, using local providers.

“The problem is disconnection; the answer is reconnection.” Stated project lead Tim Elliott for relink.org. “Improving access to Treatment services begins with identifying all service providers, then creating an easy to use digital tool connecting those in-need to the right service closest to them”

Presently, those looking for help don’t know where to turn. Life-saving resources tend to be scattered and difficult to access in times of crisis. This fragmented and siloed market of treatment service providers is not only unconducive to helping those struggling, but often a cause of frustration that perpetuates the problem rather than solving it.

Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg, himself no stranger to digital solutions, recently penned a 6,000-word essay on the future of Facebook, where he writes:

“Building a global community that works for everyone starts with the millions of smaller communities and intimate social structures we turn to for our personal, emotional and spiritual needs.”1

Moreover, in a recent presentation to the National RX Drug Abuse & Heroin Summit, researchers concluded their study on America’s drug crisis with these words: There is “strong evidence that we are experiencing a set of local epidemics rather than a national epidemic. Solutions to the current opiate/heroin crises require local knowledge.”2

relink.org aims to digitally Connect the disconnected, Empower those desiring help, and Restore lives by bringing local reconnection back to those in our communities with the help they need, when and where they need it.
